An Evening of Impact with The Life You Can Save in Boston

The Life You Can Save brought together supporters and nonprofit partners in Boston for an evening focused on effective giving and meaningful impact.

An Evening of Connection

Teresa Coffey-Gordon, US Managing Director of Transformational Philanthropy, and Board Member Neela Saldanha welcomed guests.

The gathering brought together donors at different stages of their giving journey – from those making their first contribution to longtime supporters – alongside leaders from our recommended nonprofit partners.

Panel Discussion

Neela Saldanha moderated a compelling panel featuring leaders from three of our recommended nonprofit partners in Boston:

  • Alia Karim, Sr. Fundraising Manager at Teaching at the Right Level Africa
  • Lindsey Pollaczek, Chief Partnerships Officer at Fistula Foundation
  • Aida Alonzo, previously Head of Strategy and Partnerships at Development Media International

What Boston Supporters Are Saying

The feedback captured the evening’s impact:

“I gave my first donation a month ago and was thrilled to receive the invitation and be a part of this community.”

“I had never heard of Fistula and am stunned with what I learned tonight. Thank you for shining a light on this.”

“The speakers were amazing!”

“I am so glad I came. I had an idea about what TLYCS does but now I truly understand and want to be involved.”

Looking Forward

The Boston event resulted in new donation commitments and follow-up meetings with interested supporters. We’re planning additional gatherings to continue building connections within the effective giving community.

Events like these demonstrate that effective giving is built on relationships and shared commitment. Each conversation, connection, and new supporter strengthens our collective ability to create meaningful change.
