We are always looking for new ways to build our movement; to reach more people; to end extreme poverty faster. So I'm excited to announce a new pilot outreach initiative here at The Life You Can Save. It's a tried and true method that's been used successfully by countless organizations and causes, such as Vegan Outreach. It's face-to-face, grassroots engagement on college campuses. We've been working on an old-school printed-pamphlet to hand out to passers-by, who we hope will spend a few minutes talking with us about the injustice of poverty, and how they can help put a stop to it.
We're doing a trial run of our pamphleting effort this spring at colleges in Los Angeles, California. If our measurements show (and our volunteers agree) that this strategy is a winner for us, we'll look to expand it into other geographies. The effort is led and funded by a stellar volunteer and fellow-pledger, Jonathon Smith. I'm so grateful to him for making this work possible.
If you're in the Los Angeles area and would like to join Jonathon and me on college campuses, send me an email at [email protected]. We'd love to have you!
