See D-Rev Featured at a Museum Near You

D-Rev (from “Design Revolution”) designs and delivers affordable, innovative medical devices that protect and transform lives of the global poor. Our current products are the ReMotion Knee (a prosthetic device) and the Brilliance phototherapy machine for treating jaundice in newborns.

We are pleased to have our work featured at several prominent museums on the west coast this year and hope you’ll be able to visit an exhibit near you.

For those of you in San Francisco, please check us out at SFMOMA’s Designed in California, focusing on “exploring designs that are human-centered, socially conscious, and driven by new technological capabilities.” We were thrilled the curators included our Social Impact Dashboard as emblematic of where social design is moving in the future. Our ReMotion knee and dashboard will be on display through May 27th, 2018.

In Portland, Oregon, we are part of an exhibit at the Center for Contemporary Art & Culture through May 9th: Design Museum Foundation’s Bespoke Bodies, Design and Craft of Prosthetics. This is a major exhibition and educational program exploring the evolution of and design process behind a range of prosthetic devices through visual stories, historical surveys, videos, and interactive models.

Moving up the coast, our ReMotion Knee has been selected for inclusion in the forthcoming Design with the Other 90%, organized by Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum. The exhibition is scheduled to open September 2018 at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Discovery Center in Seattle, Washington. It combines and updates elements from the first two exhibitions in the groundbreaking Design with the Other 90% series and explores innovative, low-cost design responses to real needs for underserved communities from around the world.
